Make-up

For the first time dance mums who might be concerned about doing make-up, there's no need to worry! On Friday and Saturday you should arrive with your child's hair done ready for performance and with foundation on. Once you get to the theatre, go to the stage area where make-up will be applied to your young dancer. 

At Thursday night's full dress rehearsal photographers will be present to take studio portraits and stage pictures. For this reason, you may need to apply a small amount of make-up, just so they don't look washed out in the photos. This will depend on your child's colouring, so it is up to you how much you put on, but bear in mind there will be lights and bright costumes to compete with, so light mascara, lipgloss and a little blush should be enough for most.
