Apart from spending time with my family, I am pleased to say that work is my favourite place to be.
I love a challenge and to see my students achieve their full potential.
I always set myself goals for each child. Of course, they will not all be famous dancers, but it is important to make sure I get the best from them.
Young children can be very shy. Even skipping around the room on their own can be a challenge. If after a class or two that child is happy to work on their own, I feel I have achieved the first of many goals. Knowing when to push and when to step back is an art in itself.
I hope I can learn what drives each child and what approach to take to bring out their best.
Participating in eisteddfods and exams allows me to gauge where my work stands alongside other dance schools.
The concert is a wonderful time for me to share my love of dance with the children, their families and friends. I made a promise to myself that each concert will be better than the last. I hope everyone who comes along, whether they are dance lovers or not, will leave the concert feeling proud of their children and thoroughly entertained.
Most importantly, I want the children to think of me as not only their teacher but also as a friend they can talk to.
