A big huge CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who competed in the Burdekin the past week.
So now that our first eisteddfod for the year is over, I would like to thank and congratulate all the dancers, parents, grandparents, friends and family that have supported our little dance studio. How incredibly proud I am of you all. Win Lose or Draw you were a credit to our studio, your family and of course to yourselves. Remember the essence of what we do is to do your best, have fun along the way and make memories to cherish forever. Much love to you all Mrs Dx
In solos we were awarded:
4 x 1st places
2 x 2nd places
5 x 3rd places
16 Highly Commended
Duo:
2 duos both won 1st place
Groups:
4 Groups: 1 x 1st, 2 x 2nd, 1 x 3rd
Special Congratulations to Sarah Wilson on her amazing efforts : At just 8 years old she competed in 6 solos, 3 improvisations, 1 duo and 3 groups for a total of 6 x 1st places, 2 x 2nd place, 2 x 3rd place and 1 x HC.  Along with the Adjudicators Encouragement Award for Dance. An amazing achievement by both Sarah and her mum Bianca.
For the most part, the results are usually directly related to the practice and commitment to practice you have done. Putting the music on and running through things without making a conscious effort to improve and fix the things that have been corrected both in class and private lesson time is not , to my of thinking, time well spent. I think we have all learned what we need to work on more for the upcoming competitions so take on board everything you have been told, work hard to improve your technique and your stage presence and look forward to Charters Towers, Townsville and Mackay Competitions.
Much love to all,
Mrs Dx
