Term Three news

Firstly a big welcome back to Miss McCall.  After six months travelling the globe it is lovely to have her back at the studio.  Most would already know her from previous years at the studio or through the State School.  I am sure everyone will love her as much as I do.

Brodie Jago successfully auditioned for the Raw Dance Full-time Course in Brisbane for 2012.  She is the fifth Dee Jays Student to receive a placing in the studio in the past three years. Brodie, congratulations and best wishes for your exciting adventure ahead.

Last week the students entered their Royal Academy of Dance Grades exams. They all looked beautiful and were well prepared. Congratulations to you all for the hard work you put into these examinations. It will be around seven weeks before we get the results.

The senior ballet girls will have their exams in Mackay starting this Friday.  Sasha and Chez will be sitting for their Advanced 2 ballet exam which is the culmination of many years of serious ballet training.  This is their  final ballet exam and if successful the girls will be entitled to use the letters A.R.A.D after their names. I'm sure we all wish both girls the best of luck. Good luck also to all the other girls sitting their Vocational Exams.  You have worked hard and deserve to do well.

Charters Towers Eisteddfod is coming up quickly so those people wanting private lessons should let me know immediately. Those people who still need new dances for Mackay please check the noticeboard and write down what is required. I will be starting private lessons next week.
