Hello to everyone!! Here we are into the second half of first term already! Thank you to all those who came and watched classes during 'Watching Week'. The Monday and Tuesday classes had only had 3 classes before getting thrown into the deep end with lots of people watching. (They missed the first Monday and Tuesday due to public holidays)
I will be taking Miss McCall's classes this week to stay in touch with what is happening in her rooms..Miss McCall will take over my classes..
For those who missed watching week on Friday due to cancelled classes (I couldn't get to town), you are welcome to watch this Friday.
Everyone looks great in their Dee Jays Uniforms..it all looks very professional and we look like we belong to something special...AND WE DO!! Some of the hair do's a getting a bit messy so I will ask parents and students to try really hard to come to classes tidy. We dance much better when we are dressed like 'dancers'.
We have had our first block of Breakdance with Zafir..have attached a photo for everyone to see. This Saturday sees the start of the second block for boys and girls with dance experience.. It is not just for Dee Jays Dancers so if you know someone who would like to come, invite them to come along. The classes are from 1 till 2pm on Saturdays and cost $40 for the 4 weeks.
Don't forget Raw Dance workshops for all tap and jazz students from Jazz A & Tap A. They are being held the last weekend of the Easter Holidays..classes will be $10 and need to be paid in cash no later than Friday March 19. There will be limited spaces so it will be 'first in, first served'. Money for group choreography will be due the same time. These groups will cost $100 and will be available to Senior Jazz A, selected Cabaret Group and Selected Senior Tappers. These are concert routines so participation is compulsory.
I hope everyone is enjoying their dance experience so far..Whilst I am pretty busy, I hope you will always find time to say hello as I walk past..
Cheers for now..
Mrs Dx
