STEVE FIEDLER: CREATIVE GENERATIONS
Over the weekend, Tony and I flew to Brisbane to watch Steve perform in Creative Generations. It was a showcase of up and coming students from State Schools around Queensland culminating in a wonderful night of singing, dancing and musical instruments. In total there were 2500 children involved. Professional entertainers were on hand to perform including Ricki Lee, Lee Kernihan and of course our favourite Jack Chambers. Steve sang alongside Lee in Waltzing Matilda and also with other students in If It Aint Got the Swing. However the highlight was when he sang Singing In The Rain as a solo..I cried pretty much the whole time he sang and was in awe of both his voice and the way he carried himself..In front of thousands of people Steve was where he belonged to be..As he finished singing with about 50 dancers moving around him, our Jack entered the stage and did the most amazing routine also to a remix version of the same song.. It was a memorable evening to say the least and I am sure the first of many times Steve will perform in front of such a huge audience.. Congratulations Steve and also to mum Ruth..with your constant support and belief in Steve he is bound to do great things..perhaps our next Hugh Grant!!!!
